Digitalisation and eGovernment are of high priority for the Government of Serbia. The grounds were set by adopting the needed legal framework, strategies and action plans as well as the deadlines for implementation. The last two years of pandemics accelerated the process of digitalisation and eGovernment as the need for more efficient communication and services provided to the citizens became more and more stringent.

The global accepted standard that shall be met for information security is ISO 27001. It helps organisations to operate and deliver IT services while maintaining a high level of security and privacy. ISO 27001 is invaluable for monitoring, reviewing, maintaining and improving an institutions’ information security management system.

Service Management

The global accepted standard that shall be met with regard to IT services is ISO 20000. It helps organisations benchmark how they deliver IT services, measure service quality and assess their performance. It enables IT departments to ensure that their IT Service Management processes are aligned with the expectations and with international best practices.

At the end of this assignment, the results will contribute to the preparation of Serbia (public administration organisations at central level and related eGovernment services) for compliance with the EU and international standards in information security management, service delivery, service management, and data protection.
